Philip served in the Royal Navy during WWII, has been a professional actor, and ran with his actress wife their own puppet theatre for ten years. He has also been a deep sea yachtsman who has sailed over 30,000 miles of the seas and the oceans of the world. For over forty years he ran, with his wife and daughter, a studio in Westward Ho!, selling only their own work, paintings, drawings, leaflets and small models of mythical and legendary figures they designed and carved themselves. A great-grandfather, he is now retired and lives with his family in a large old 14th century house in North Devon.

This inspirational book tells of Philip Rose’s lifelong search for the meaning of life, his meeting with his friend and mentor Eugene Halliday, and his deep spiritual experiences when alone at sea. A compilation of a number of short books written in the ninth and tenth decades of his life, it contains a spiritual philosophy expressed in simple language accessible to all.
