Carol Keay:- “A Talk About Some of Eugene’s Ideas (With More Questions Than Answers)”

This ’Talk” will look at some of Eugene’s ideas, what they may mean and where they might take us. Do we like them? What do they MEAN to us, and what they meant to him? Some of us have been ‘working’ with these ideas for many years, but how conscious are we about whether our Feeling-Thinking-Willing are acting together, feeding each other, in order to lead us to a more fulfilled place? Are we able to be more non-reactive than before? How about releasing consciousness from I-dentification? Can we remember to do it, or must “want be our master”? Why are we drawn to inspiring exemplars who do have, or seem to have such control? (i.e. Holy men or women of various ‘faiths’ and yes, some secular examples, but these tend eventually to choose a religion).

My thinking tends to be circular, well, hopefully an upward spiral, as I re-visit the vexatious endeavour of becoming a “3-part man” in order to gain the 4th part, the Affirmation. What EH calls the co-ordinator or spine and also calls Jesus the Christ.

Do we focus too much on the EFFORT of this work? What about LET? It is hard to follow such guidance if we cannot see why it might be beneficial. How does the way of effort vs. the way which is effort-less inter-act?

EH provides the rationale for the question WHY, but do we first need faith, in whatever nascent capacity, before being drawn to EH’s ideas?

Who knows whether we will answer any of these questions, but please join me to at least consider what it is that we think we are doing.
